Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: PV exports will exceed US$28.4 billion in 2021

Release date:2022-02-17

In 2021, my country's newly installed photovoltaic capacity is 53GW, calculated at a cost of 4,000 yuan/kW, which is more than 200 billion points, which also includes civil construction and other costs. From this point of view, compared with the domestic market size of 28.4 billion US dollars, it is completely a half-to-half relationship. Domestic photovoltaic companies have achieved perfect domestic and foreign markets. In this way, even in 2017, photovoltaics are hot and the installed capacity has broken through. With a capacity of 53 million kilowatts, in the face of the sudden brake in 2018, domestic photovoltaic companies are still alive and well, and the development momentum is unabated. It should be said that a stable overseas market has contributed to the stable development of the domestic photovoltaic industry.

At present, after such a fierce domestic market involution, domestic photovoltaic companies are basically "big monsters", and the list of the top ten photovoltaic companies in the world has almost become a list of domestic companies. Foreign competitors face a nightmare.

Below is the report.

On February 15, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released an article entitled "China's PV Industry Aims for High-Quality Development in 2021 and Achieves a Good Start in the 14th Five-Year Plan".

The article pointed out that in 2021, the national photovoltaic industry will be based on carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, seize the opportunities for industry development, overcome the adverse effects of repeated global epidemics, severe economic conditions, and international trade barriers, continue to deepen supply-side structural reforms, and accelerate the promotion of industrial intelligence. Innovation and upgrading, the overall operation of the industry is improving, and the "14th Five-Year Plan" has achieved a good start.

First, the whole industry achieved steady growth. The overall supply chain of the national photovoltaic industry chain remained safe and stable. The annual output of polysilicon, silicon wafers, cells, and modules reached 505,000 tons, 227GW, 198GW, and 182GW, respectively, up 27.5%, 40.6%, 46.9%, and 46.1% year-on-year.

The second is to accelerate the iterative upgrade of technology. The polysilicon index of mainstream enterprises continued to improve to meet the needs of N-type cells, and the technology of large-size silicon wafers and thinning technology accelerated; , HJT battery mass production speed up.

The third is the rapid development of smart photovoltaics. The integration of new-generation information technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, and industrial Internet with the photovoltaic industry has accelerated, and the level of intelligent manufacturing, intelligent operation and maintenance, and intelligent scheduling of the photovoltaic industry has gradually improved. The pilot demonstration of smart photovoltaics has achieved initial results, and systematic solutions in construction, transportation, agriculture and other fields have been introduced.

Fourth, the market application continued to expand. As the world accelerates its response to climate change, the photovoltaic market demand continues to increase. In 2021, China's photovoltaic product exports will exceed 28.4 billion US dollars. Domestic carbon peaking and carbon neutralization are actively promoted, the construction of large-scale photovoltaic power generation bases is accelerated, the county's promotion of distributed photovoltaic and smart photovoltaic innovation and development action plans and other policies continue to be implemented, and public service platforms such as standards and testing are continuously optimized.
